Parador implements Karim Rashid's designs for the hotel rooms with three unique laminate decors.
Europe's first music hotel opened in Berlin in 2012 and entices with its own sound studio above the river Spree and room service that will bring Gibson guitars. The striking building designed by architect Sergei Tchoban is located directly on the banks of the river Spree and has more than 300 rooms and suites. The New York designer Karim Rashid designed the entire interior. His visionary, playful designs create a perfect symbiosis with the rather stark architecture of Sergei Tchoban. Karim Rashid wants to break away from old lifestyle and visual habits. To realise this vision for the hotel rooms, he developed three laminate floors in cooperation with Parador in the colours of the respective building wings: pink in the East Tower, blue in the West Tower, and a discreet grey in the Upper Tower.
