Online communication price for interactive POS table

Coesfeld, June 2019 Reason to cheer in Coesfeld: the interactive service table for the point of sale, which was developed by Demodern, experts in creative technologies, for Parador's new StudioConcept, has now been awarded 3rd place in the German Prize for Online Communication (DPOK) in the trade & e-commerce category.

A strong presence at the point of sale is important, because a POS with a modern design can distinguish the retail partner and have a positive effect on revenue. For this reason, Parador launched its new, trend-setting StudioConcept for the POS for its retail partners last year, which combines new digital technologies with communication aimed at end customers. At the heart of the concept is an interactive service table, which is unique in this form in the industry and has now been awarded 3rd place in the trade & e-commerce category of the German Prize for Online Communication. The digital POS application was developed by Demodern from Cologne, the experts for creative technologies.

The aim of the digital application is to support retailers and consumers in the sales advice and purchasing process: using RFID technology, sample boards are recognised by an "intelligent table", turning the floorings into a virtual experience. Aside from inspiration, information and above all product comparisons are also possible, and prices can be determined during the sales advice process when needed. "The highlight is that the digital systems can be individually adapted to the needs of each retail partner," explains Birgit Kunth, Director of Marketing and Communication at Parador. And the concept is working out well: in addition to the German domestic market, Parador retail partners in neighbouring European countries and even in China are also opting for digital support.

"The excellent placing in the DOPK confirms what our retail partners have been telling us since the market launch: the digital POS has hit a nerve with regard to sales advice, information and service possibilities. All the more reason for us and Demodern to be pleased about this award," says Birgit Kunth.
