A great deal of wood, natural fabrics and local materials determine the furnishing of the guest rooms
An idyll like out of a picture book: On the slopes of the Moselle valley, amidst old orchards and vineyards, lies the WeinKulturgut Longen-Schlöder wine estate. Here the Schlöder family has built a paradise for holidaymakers: On a 6,500 square metre property, guests can experience the most original way of living in harmony with nature, surrounded by lime trees, chestnut trees, fruit and walnut trees. None other than the internationally successful architect Matteo Thun, known for his holistic, sustainable approach to architecture and interiors, supported the family in planning and implementation. The result is a total of 20 small holiday homes built from local slate.
They are bright, clear and scaled down in their design: Lots of wood, natural fabrics and local materials shape the interior. For the floor, Matteo Thun opted for a light, bleached oak engineered wood flooring from Parador with naturally oiled surfaces, which blends harmoniously into the overall ambience.
