Our range of underlays offers the right underlay for every floor covering. The product properties are more specific depending on your requirements. There is a decisive parameter for the use of a subfloor on underfloor heating: the thermal resistance. This describes how long it takes for the heat to penetrate a layer (in this case the floor covering plus subfloor). The higher the value, the longer it takes for the heat to actually reach the room air. Added together, the thermal resistance should not be higher than 0.15 m2K/W (square meters times Kelvin divided by watts) for underfloor heating to work efficiently. Most of our underfloor/floor covering combinations are suitable for underfloor heating. Therefore, when choosing your product, pay attention to the thermal resistance values, which you can find for each of our products in the data sheets on our website.

Yes, but only to a minimal extent of up to around 3 mm per meter. Larger break-outs and imperfections must be repaired with a repair filler. With a self-leveling compound, a problem floor will be as smooth as glass within a few hours. For all repair and leveling work, make sure that the floor has sufficient drying time before installation.
