Correctly installing vinyl flooring made of solid material or with SPC core board
Installing and maintaining Parador floorings is uncomplicated and easy to learn, even for hobby DIY enthusiasts. So that everything goes quickly and smoothly, our experts will show you the right techniques and tricks for installing your Parador floor covering at this point.
Please note that the installation of vinyl flooring with SPC core board is identical to the installation of vinyl flooring made of solid material shown in the video. For product-specific information and technical recommendations on vinyl flooring with SPC core board, please also read our installation instructions or product guide. You can find them to download below the videos.
You need the right tools for the installation and should take some time for the preparation process and to read the enclosed product information. The flooring must first get used to the new room climate for 48 hours at over 17 degrees Celsius. The substrate should be dry, solid and level. It is also important to have the right underlay, which compensates for small bumps and provides additional footfall sound protection.
Install your vinyl flooring parallel to the incidence of light and calculate the width of the first and last row of planks. Use a jigsaw or circular saw for the longitudinal cut. For the transverse cut, score the decor side and bend the plank. Now align the first row with spacer wedges and ensure an expansion joint of at least 5 mm. Click the planks together with the Parador MultiTool and, if necessary, knock them into position.
Simply transfer the heating pipes to the plank and drill a 10 mm hole. Divide the plank in the middle of the hole, put the individual parts back together and cover the space between them with a pipe cover. Door frames that are too long are shortened with a sharp saw and expansion joints at doorsteps are covered with a profile.
You will also find matching skirtings in our Parador range. It is very easy to fit them. First you have to remove the spacer wedges and then you can attach a clip every 40 – 50 cm with the enclosed drilling template. Now the skirtings are pushed onto the clips from above and your vinyl flooring with skirtings is finished.
